Think twice if
- Star rating decides your running cost for the next fifteen years. The cheap 3-star costs more every winter than the 6-star saves you at purchase
- Heating only. Pair it with evap or refrigerated for summer
- Gas prices are moving. If you're weighing gas against a reverse-cycle system long-term, ask us to run both numbers rather than assuming
- Any gas heater over ten years old wants a carbon monoxide test, whether or not you replace it

Gas leak, no hot water, CO alarm — call and we'll be on-site same-day. Standard call-out $120 in-hours, $220 after-hours. Fee waived if repair goes ahead on the day.

Planned job? Written quote in 2 hrs
Send a photo of the existing unit and we'll come back the same business day with the replacement model, capacity, star rating and installed price. Includes VEU eligibility check for the swap.

Old unit assessed on site
Ducted heater — is the cavity + ductwork reusable? (Usually yes on a like-for-like retrofit.) Hot water — is the existing pad + pipework good, or does it need rework? We tell you before we touch anything.

Install day
Brivis ducted replacement — 3-4 hours if the ducts + controller wiring reuse cleanly. Continuous flow hot water swap — 3-5 hours. Same-day for both. Old unit off the pad and loaded up.

Commission, pressure test, hand over
Gas pressure test to AS/NZS 5601, controller programmed, temperature setpoint checked, we run hot water at the tap. You sign the job card when it's running the way you want.

Compliance certificate + warranty registration
Gas compliance certificate emailed inside 24 hours. Manufacturer warranty registered in your name at the same time.

Can you replace my old ducted heater with the same footprint?
Nearly always. Brivis and Kaden internal units are built to drop into the existing cavity, and the ducts, return-air grille and controller wiring usually reuse. That's what keeps it a one-day job.
Is a 6-star worth the extra over a 3-star?

How long does a changeover take?
